Though this is not our master list by any means, these are definitely a handful that you want to checkout, while the season is here. House of Tricks |Tempe – The patio at House of Tricks affords guests the luxury of experiencing the beautiful Arizona weather amidst beautiful shrubs, fountains, and decadent lighting. The restaurant itself is a renovated 1930’s home, and has a cozy, contemporary feel thats unlike anything in the area. Tucked away on the outskirts of the Arizona State University Campus, it is not a restaurant most stumble upon, but a secluded hideaway for those fortunate enough to know about it. The menu at House of Tricks falls on the medium to high price range, which is more than reasonable considering their menu sources cuisines from around the world and presents them flawlessly. This is without question one of the best restaurants in Tempe, if not all of Arizona.

The Herb Box | Scottsdale – The Herb Box is one of Scottsdale’s premiere restaurants and sits appropriately in the heart of the shopping district. With a beautiful patio that over looks the canal, and walking distance from a lot of popular shopping, its a great place to a grab lunch while enjoying all that the are has to offer. With live music every Sunday this is one of the locals favorite’s spot to grab brunch and enjoy the upbeat sophisticated ambience.

Postino | Phoenix – Quickly becoming one of Arizona’s favorite restaurants, Postino is a popular place to grab appetizers and enjoy the hip vibe of a renovated post office – turned restaurant (hence the name). The real draw for many is the great happy hour($5 glass of wine & $5 pitchers of beer till 5), and weekly specials ($20 bottle of wine & bruschetta every Tuesday). Postino is one of the concepts brought to you by Phoenix’s Upward Projects, that also owns and operates other popular restaurants in the area like Federal, Windsor, Joy Ride, and more. Don’t be upset if your not in Phoenix or the Arcadia area, Postino is now in Glendale, Tempe, and planning to open in other cities around AZ.

CIBO | Phoenix – Another great renovated historic house that was turned into a cute and eclectic restaurant right in the heart of Phoenix. CIBO is famed for its wood oven pizza but also offers gusts one of the most romantic patio’s in the Valley. With a great wine selection, exquisite menu, and knowledgable staff, CIBO is certainly one of Arizona’s must try restaurants.  Make sure to make a reservation because they almost always have a full house (literally).

Kazimierz | Scottsdale – If your looking for something a little out of the norm thats not a concept restaurant, and has a more of a worldly feel, than Kazimierz is your place; that is if you can find it. Designed as a speak easy, the dark windows and somewhat illusive door, will have you asking around for the entrance, but once you find your way inside you will surely be pleased. With one of the largest wine selections in the state, indulge as you enjoy the calm atmosphere, and serene live music. Kazimierz is a great place to grab a glass of wine, or scotch, and simply people watch, while enjoying the atmosphere and sophisticated aroma that permeates the restaurant.
